About this opportunity

The City of Annapolis offers rental assistance to eligible low- and moderate-income residents who need help paying rent, security deposits, or utility costs. Its goals are to stabilize housing situations, prevent eviction, prevent utility shutoffs, and provide security deposit assistance for families who need housing. Approved funds are sent directly to the property manager or utility company on behalf of the applicant by mailed check. Assistance is available once per fiscal year per household, and approval is not guaranteed. Account balances must not be more than 60 days past due. Application processing can take up to 4–6 weeks for payment to reach the property, with up to 3 business days for an approval or denial decision.
