About this opportunity

The RISE Zone program connects universities, colleges, and federal-affiliated nonprofits to the communities around them, creating targeted geographic zones where state incentives, business support, and institutional investment converge to attract businesses and create jobs. MEDCO administers the program, which operates in two stages: (1) Qualified Institution (Q.I.) designation for eligible institutions, and (2) RISE Zone designation for a specific geographic area. Businesses located in a RISE Zone receive enhanced tax credits, filing fee waivers, priority consideration for grants, and dedicated business concierge services.
