About this opportunity
The School Breakfast Program (SBP) reimburses schools and residential child care institutions with federal dollars for meals that meet USDA nutrition standards. It provides students with a nutritious breakfast to support learning, with studies showing links to higher test scores, better behavior, reduced food insecurity, and fewer absences. Students from families with incomes at or below 130–185% of the federal poverty level may receive meals at free or reduced prices. All 24 Maryland public school systems and 17 non-profit private schools and residential childcare institutions participate, serving over 898,000 students.
