About this opportunity
The Residential Energy Equity Program provides competitive grants to non-profit organizations and local government entities for energy efficiency, electrification, and solar PV upgrades to single-family and multi-family homes that benefit Maryland residents with low-to-moderate incomes. The program combines the former Energy Efficiency Equity Program and Solar Energy Equity Grant Program. Applicants can apply under two Areas of Interest: AOI 1 (Energy Efficiency Projects) with approximately $17.2 million available, and AOI 2 (Solar Energy Projects) with $8 million available. Grants are awarded for projects that generate significant reductions in residential energy usage and pass the financial benefits to income-qualifying residents.
