Maryland Grow Your Own Educators Grant Program

About this opportunity

This program provides grants to local school systems to form partnerships (called collaboratives) with employee organizations and Maryland higher education institutions. The collaboratives create on-the-job teacher licensure pathways for school-based employees — including noncertified education support professionals and provisional teachers — who want to earn full teacher licensure while continuing to work. Teacher candidates receive financial support during preparation and must commit to a three-year service pledge as full-time teachers in a high-needs school, grade level, or content area within the same local school system where they currently work.
